When and where?

The Wisconsin 2018 Iron Butt 1000 mile ride took place on Friday, July 13th (no superstition here!). It was accomplished in less than a 24 hour period - about 20 1/2 hours to be precise. The ride took us on a route throughout the state of Wisconsin. At different times we could look across the southern border into Illinois, across Lake Superior to the UP of Michigan, and across Lake Michigan towards the State of Michigan. The ride was challenging, exhilarating, satisfying and just a plain old cool thing to do! The picture at the top of the page shows the four riders and our chase truck driver.
Within a couple of months of the end of this ride I was able to reach the goal of raising $70,000 for the construction of Wisconsin Youth Complex in Pocochuape, Nicaragua! My thanks to each and every contributor and my fellow riders that made this possible. Most of all I thank Jesus for this calling in my life and His faithfulness through every second of the journey. All glory and honor goes to Him. I was just a happy passenger on His rides!

Ride Extreme for Youth Extreme is a fundraising tool to build youth ministry/sports complexes throughout Nicaragua. We are committed to providing a safe and secure place for Nicaraguan youth to gather in order to experience personal growth in a positive environment. Each complex will cost $70,000 to build.

we need your help to finish the job!!!
Bruce Judkins, the lone rider from Wisconsin who was able to undertake the ride to Nicaragua in 2017, has known for a long time where the funds raised from his ride should end up. For many reasons he wanted to support the humble little church in Pocochuape, Nicaragua.
Bruce has an employee where he works who grew up very near Pocochuape. When Bruce asked his friend about Pocochuape the response he heard was, "Oh, that is a very tough area. Lots of gangs". Pocochuape, along with much of Nicaragua, is poverty stricken. The youth of Nicaragua often grow up with little hope for success - or even the opportunity to succeed. Because of this they find a "home" wherever they can. Oftentimes this is in gangs.
Brian Weed, the missionary who planted the small church in Pocochuape, believes these sports complexes are a major key to provide hope for these youth. These complexes offer a safe place for youth to congregate where the can grow physically, mentally and spiritually.
This is why we need you help to raise the final funds needed to build Wisconsin Youth Sports Complex in Pocochuape! Bruce has already been blessed with more than $50,000 of the $70,000 needed to build the complex. With your support we plan to start building the complex in 2018. Any "extra" funds collected will go towards ministry support to get a solid youth program running and well funded.
