The Vision

Virtually everyone I know in Wisconsin is a rabid fan of their favorite professional sports team, or maybe even more so, your local high school or recreation league teams. We all know how beneficial it is to develop our children with a pride in team, teamwork, discipline, good sportsmanship; the lessons losing teach us, as well as the joy of victory!

I am asking you to join us in exporting a slice of that love of sport to the children of Nicaragua! I am asking you to help to build the Wisconsin Youth Complex in Pocochuape, Nicaragua! It will cost about $70,000 to build Wisconsin Youth Complex in Pocochuape.

Pocochuape is a very tough neighborhood with very little hope for young people. There are no government programs or resources available to reach these kids. We want to deliver a message of hope while simultaneously giving them a safe place to gather. I personally want them to know that the people of Wisconsin, USA, are a loving people that truly care for them!

Why Pocochuape instead of a need in a disadvantaged area closer to your home? Please, do not let this fundraiser take away from money you intend to give locally! Today, rather than considering my request, send that money to your chosen local charity! On the other hand, do not let hypothetical reasons stop you from giving somewhere. Personally, I have found that I am more blessed when I give than is the recipient of my gift. My heart feels a joy that can only be found in selflessness.

Important!
If you experience any frustration in giving please see the How To Give page for Wisconsin Riders. It includes specific directions with screenshots.
